DESCRIPTION:Please join the Durham County Department of Public Health\, Durham Tech\, Wake AHEC\, and Duke AHEC at the Trauma-Informed Care Healthcare Provider Conference on April 15. \nTrauma-informed care improves patient outcomes\, reduces costs\, and improves patient satisfaction. Despite these benefits\, many healthcare providers have not received or have received limited training or continued education in trauma-informed care. SUMMARY:Resilience Circle of Hope Youth Group
DESCRIPTION:The Resilience Circle of Hope (RCOH) is a 14-week\, in-person support group that uses art therapy to help youth build resilience and improve their mental health. Throughout the sessions\, participants will engage in activities and discussions that promote the development of coping skills\, self-care strategies\, and positive peer connections. Participants will have the opportunity to connect with peers who may be experiencing similar challenges\, fostering a sense of belonging and understanding. This is ideal for youth ages 10-17. RCOH will be held in person at the StandUp-SpeakOut office every Wednesday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Sessions are planned to run from March 25th to June 24th. Food and incentives for participation will be provided. \nRegistration is ongoing for the first 3 weeks. \nIf you have or know of potential youth who might benefit from participating\, please complete the Referral Form.
