Curating Change: The Art of Activism in Education
we are invites you to join for their 10th Annual Let’s Talk Racism Conference! This year, the theme is Curating Change: The Art of Activism in Education. The conference will be held in Durham at North Carolina Central University on Saturday, March 21, 2026, and will provide an opportunity for educators, parents, students and community members to discuss creative ways of challenging racial inequities in our schools.
The purpose of this event is to give K-12 educators and pre-service teachers an opportunity to engage in sessions centered on building liberatory, culturally affirming learning spaces that dismantle systemic racism in schools and beyond. CEU certificates will be provided for participating educators. While educators are the target audience, we are welcomes all community members to participate.
The planning collaborative is thrilled to announce Keith Knight as their keynote speaker. Knight is an award-winning cartoonist, musician, and educator whose work has been lauded for its sharp wit, political insight, and ability to blend humor with hard truths. Best known for his comic strips The K Chronicles, (th)ink, and The Knight Life, Knight has spent decades using comics as a lens to examine race, class, identity, and the absurdities of everyday life.
