Annual Youth and Family Forum for Gun Violence Prevention
The Youth and Family Forum for Gun Violence Prevention on May 16, 2-5PM at ReCity Network is a community-led opportunity to engage with youth and families who have been working with researchers from Duke SON, the Violence Recovery Program, the BOOST Program, Bike Durham, mentoring programs, community leaders, and faith-based organizations over the past few years to reduce gun violence in Durham. This forum is part of a collective effort to understand and address the root causes of violence, exploring protective factors that intersect multiple forms of violence. This interactive, community-led event will feature:
- Youth and family engagement
- Community resource sharing
- Student activities and research presentations focused on gun violence prevention
