NextGen Orientation Program
The NextGen Program at the NC Works Career Center in Durham continues to support young adults ages 16–24 on their path toward career success, education, and self-sufficiency, and they couldn’t do it without dedicated community partners like you.
They are excited to share that they offer both in-person and virtual orientation sessions for youth interested in enrolling in the WIOA-funded NextGen Program. These orientations introduce participants to valuable opportunities including:
✅ Paid Work Experience
✅ Career Counseling & Goal Planning
✅ Supportive Services (transportation, supplies, etc.)
✅ High School Equivalency & Postsecondary Support
✅ Resume & Interview Prep
✅ Job Readiness and Life Skills Workshops
📍 What to expect?
During your in-person visit, you will:
- Meet with a Career Coach to complete the initial assessment
- Interact with other students or young adults in a group setting
- Learn more about training programs, paid work experiences, and support services tailored just for you!
