Stress Less: A Community Workshop on Practical Stress Management

This interactive educational workshop is designed to equip participants with effective stress management techniques that can be easily integrated into everyday life. Through a combination of guided discussions, hands-on activities, and evidence-based strategies, attendees will gain a deeper understanding of how stress impacts the body and mind—and how to respond to it in healthy, sustainable ways.
What You’ll Learn:
- Understanding Stress: An overview of the physiological and psychological effects of stress and how it manifests in daily life.
- Mindfulness & Breathing Techniques: Practice deep breathing, grounding, and mindfulness meditation exercises to promote calm and present-moment awareness.
- Progressive Muscle Relaxation (PMR): Learn and perform a guided PMR exercise to release physical tension and increase body awareness.
- Time Management & Boundary Setting: Explore practical tools to reduce overwhelm, prioritize tasks, and set healthy boundaries.
- Cognitive Reframing: Discover how to shift unhelpful thinking patterns and build emotional resilience through positive self-talk and perspective shifts.
- Stress-Relief Toolkit: Each participant will leave with a workbook that becomes part of a personalized stress-relief plan and simple techniques they can use at home, work, or school.
